KUWAIT CITY: The 45th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit is scheduled to take place in Kuwait at Bayan Palace on Sunday, bringing together top leaders and representatives to discuss sustainable development, regional security, and stability. This marks the eighth time Kuwait has hosted the summit, which aims to build on past achievements and address mounting regional threats. According to Kuwait News Agency, the summit will focus on regional security, strengthening economic integration within the GCC, and addressing both regional and international challenges. The leaders will explore plans for overhauling the joint market, enhancing cooperation in technology, and improving infrastructural connections. In addition, they will tackle a range of political issues, including the situations in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq, as well as relations with regional and international powers. The GCC, established in 1981, holds annual meetings to foster cooperation among its member states, which include Kuwa it, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman.
