GCC in Geneva Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Iran

GENEVA: Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hain, who is also the Chair of the GCC Ambassadors Council, condemned recent Israeli aggression against Iran. He spoke during an interactive dialogue with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights at the 59th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, emphasizing that the Israeli actions are a violation of international law, the UN Charter, and global norms.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Hain also expressed condemnation of the ongoing attacks by Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people. He reaffirmed the GCC's commitment to peaceful conflict resolution, advocating for dialogue and understanding as essential components in the protection of human rights.

Al-Hain highlighted the Council's support for de-escalation efforts and urged the creation of conditions conducive to peaceful settlements. He underscored the importance of maintaining regional and international stability as part of the broader goal of promoting peace.

Furthermore, Al-Hain reiterated the GCC's backing of the UN Human Rights Office in its mission to promote universal values and the culture of human rights globally.
