Doha: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi expressed his welcome for the signing of the Doha Framework Peace Agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Congo River Alliance "March 23 Movement." Al-Budaiwi applauded the significant efforts exerted by Qatar in hosting and supporting the negotiation process, noting its contribution which underscores its commitment towards supporting regional and international security as well as resolving conflicts through peaceful means. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi expressed his hope that this agreement will pave the way towards achieving reconciliation and maintaining stability and development in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
