Kuwait city: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi welcomed Monday Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa's announcement of a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi stated in a press release that the terms of the fresh agreement are instrumental in enhancing and safeguarding Syria's security, stability, unity, and territorial sovereignty.
The GCC chief reiterated the final statement adopted by the Supreme Council of the GCC during its 46th Session, which underscored the vital importance of respecting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of this Arab country, and that Syria's security and stability constitute a fundamental pillar of regional security.
