GCC Chief Welcomes Adopting Syria’s Roadmap

Kuwait city: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Al-Budaiwi, welcomed Syria's adoption of the "Roadmap for Resolving the Crisis in Sweida and Stabilizing Southern Syria," which has been agreed upon by Syria, Jordan, and the United States.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in a statement, the GCC Chief praised the efforts of Jordan and the US in supporting this declaration, indicating that it will contribute to enhancing security and peace in the Syrian Arab Republic.

He emphasized that the consensus achieved would support the Syrian people's aspirations for stability, development, and prosperity and represent a significant step toward overcoming the challenges facing Syria.

Yesterday, the Syrian government, supported by Jordan and the United States, launched a comprehensive roadmap to address the situation in southern Sweida Governorate.
