Doha: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Al-Budaiwi emphasized the significance of the "Arabian Gulf Security 4" tactical exercise in enhancing security integration among GCC member states. During the closing ceremony of the exercise in Qatar, Al-Budaiwi noted that the drill underscores the unity and shared destiny of the Gulf nations.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the fourth edition of the exercise was conducted by the GCC Ministries of Interior, with participation from specialized units from the United States. Al-Budaiwi stated that the exercise is crucial for supporting the collective Gulf security framework. He highlighted its role in improving coordination among ministries and boosting joint readiness to address security challenges, contributing to the overall stability across the region.
Al-Budaiwi also mentioned that the "Arabian Gulf Security 4" exercise demonstrates a mutual commitment to advancing security mechanisms and sharing expertise. He stressed the importance of unifying efforts to counter transnational risks and threats, which are essential for institutional integration and operational security cooperation among GCC states.
He expressed hope that the exercise would achieve its strategic objectives, aligning with the visions of GCC leaders to ensure sustained security and stability for the region's peoples. The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahib, representing Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The exercise, which began on January 25th, is part of ongoing joint Gulf security efforts to unify security concepts and enhance readiness in addressing various challenges and emergencies.
