GCC Chief Deplores “Terrorist” Bombing at Syrian Mosque

Homs: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi condemned, in the strongest terms, the "terrorist" blast that targeted a mosque in the Syrian city of Homs and left scores of casualties. In a statement on Friday, Al-Budaiwi expressed GCC solidarity with Syria and rejection of all types of violence and terror seeking to destabilize security and stability in Syria and the whole world. He expressed heartfelt condolences to Syria's government and the families of the victims, wishing a rapid recovery to the wounded.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Syria's health ministry announced that the bombing occurred inside Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque, resulting in eight mortalities and 18 injuries.
