GCC Chief Condemns Israeli Attack on Damascus Countryside

Doha: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi has expressed strong condemnation over the Israeli occupation's recent assault on the Damascus countryside in Syria.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi issued a press statement denouncing the Israeli occupation's ongoing violations in Syrian territories. He warned that such actions increase tension and hinder efforts aimed at establishing stability and security in the region.

Al-Budaiwi urged the international community to take swift and responsible measures to stop the recurrent Israeli aggressions. He stressed the need to prevent further escalation that could endanger both regional and international peace.

The GCC chief reiterated the importance of maintaining the territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and safeguarding its sovereignty and stability. He highlighted the need for enhancing regional security in line with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
