London: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jassem Al-Budaiwi met with UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds to discuss the latest developments in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) aimed to be signed in 2025. According to Kuwait News Agency, during their meeting, trade and investment relations between GCC countries and the UK were examined, focusing on the latest developments in FTA negotiations. The two sides expressed their commitment to complete the rounds of negotiations for the free trade agreement. Al-Budaiwi highlighted discussions with the UK Secretary of State on outstanding issues in the negotiations and exchanged views on opportunities to overcome these obstacles while preserving common interests. He emphasized the GCC's ongoing efforts to enhance investment and trade relations through joint opportunities and free trade agreements globally, aiming for development and prosperity.
