Brussels: Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi held talks with Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Yasunari Morino on the latest developments in the ongoing Free Trade Agreement negotiations between the two sides.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions took place during Ambassador Morino's visit to the GCC General Secretariat's headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting also reviewed preparations for the Secretary General's upcoming visit to Japan later this week, as well as progress on the GCC-Japan Joint Action Plan for 2024-2028, which outlines a roadmap for strengthening the strategic partnership.
The two officials also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, further solidifying the cooperative efforts between the GCC and Japan.
