Dubrovnik: GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Budaiwi met with Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Nasser Kamel to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two entities.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik 2025 Forum, an event hosted by Croatia in the city of Dubrovnik from July 11 to 12. The GCC General Secretariat released a statement highlighting the focus on various issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the potential for cooperation in several domains.
During the discussions, the GCC chief emphasized the Gulf Cooperation Council's commitment to improving relations with both regional and international organizations. He stressed the importance of multilateral partnerships in enhancing security, peace, and sustainable development.
Furthermore, Al-Budaiwi acknowledged the Mediterranean region as a crucial partner to the GCC. He noted that the relationship between the two regions would be further strengthened to foster more stable and prosperous conditions that benefit the peoples of both sides.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange views on the latest regional and international developments.
