GCC Ambassadors in New Delhi Condemn Israel’s Aggression Against Qatar

New delhi: The ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in New Delhi convened at the Kuwait Embassy, following an invitation from Kuwait Ambassador to India Mishal Mustafa Al-Shemali, who currently chairs the GCC Council of Ambassadors.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Al-Shemali stated that the GCC ambassadors highlighted the necessity of ongoing consultation and unified efforts to serve the shared interests of the GCC nations in their relations with India. They emphasized the need to elevate these relations to new levels to meet the future aspirations of the GCC.

He further mentioned that the GCC ambassadors expressed strong condemnation of Israel's aggression and violation of Qatar's sovereignty, affirming their full solidarity with Qatar in all measures it takes to address this act. The meeting also focused on the GCC vision and ideas to strengthen joint GCC action, which is crucial given the current regional and global situation.

Continuous GCC coordination and unity are deemed essential to address current developments and to pave the way for a stable and prosperous future for the Gulf region and its people.

The meeting included ambassadors from Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, the Charge d'Affaires of Saudi Arabia, and the Deputy Head of Mission of the UAE. This gathering marks the third meeting of the GCC ambassadors accredited to India during Kuwait's presidency of the Council. It is part of regular meetings aimed at exchanging views and coordinating positions that benefit the GCC states and India.

Discussions also covered trade issues, regional conflict tensions, and the importance of securing energy supplies. The ambassadors agreed to continue these meetings to remain informed on the latest developments and to coordinate efforts on issues of common interest to the GCC states, rooted in their shared destiny and integrated interests.
