GCC Ambassadors Convene in New Delhi to Strengthen Ties with India

New delhi: Ambassadors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries convened in New Delhi under the leadership of Kuwait to deliberate on strategies to enhance cooperation with India. The meeting, chaired by Kuwait as the current head of the council, focused on strengthening GCC-India relations across various domains and levels. The ambassadors shared their visions and ideas to further the progress of joint Gulf actions.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting also addressed recent regional escalations, with the ambassadors condemning the Iranian attack on Qatar. They described this act as a blatant violation of international laws and principles of good neighborliness. The ambassadors reiterated the GCC countries' unwavering support for Qatar, emphasizing their commitment to its security and stability.

Furthermore, the GCC representatives expressed their concerns regarding the potential exploitation of the Strait of Hormuz amid regional and global disputes and conflicts. This crucial waterway is vital for navigation, global trade, and the flow of energy supplies. This meeting marks the second gathering of GCC ambassadors during Kuwait's presidency of the council, highlighting their ongoing efforts to exchange views and coordinate positions that align with the common interests of both the GCC countries and India.
