GCC 44th Anniversary Celebrated as a Milestone of Unity and Progress

Riyadh: The 44th anniversary of the founding of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was marked as a significant occasion by Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs. He emphasized the importance of this milestone in recognizing the journey of ambitious visions and strategic achievements that have solidified the GCC's status as a unified regional organization.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Mutairi delivered a speech at the anniversary celebration held at the GCC Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh, representing the current GCC Presidency. During his address, he conveyed greetings and congratulations on behalf of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Al-Mutairi highlighted that the establishment of the GCC was a strategic vision realized by the leaders of the member states, founded on a unified goal and shared destiny. The council's creation was deeply rooted in bonds of religion, history, and brotherhood. He pointed out that the Gulf experience has demonstrated how continuous coordination can turn challenges into opportunities for enhancing security, stability, and development.

The minister reiterated Kuwait's commitment to supporting Gulf unity and promoting joint cooperation, emphasizing that solidarity is the foundation of the GCC's strength. He stressed the importance of continuing to build on the legacy of the founding leaders and focusing on human development, particularly youth, through educational and entrepreneurial initiatives that empower them to contribute actively to their societies.
