Gaza Martyrs Exceed 50,000, Reports Medical Official

Gaza: The number of martyrs who have fallen since the onset of the Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip in early October 2023 has exceeded 50,000, in addition to 113,274 injury cases, a medical official said on Sunday. Director General of the Health Authorities in Gaza, Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, stated in a press release that the number of martyrs since the start of the war of genocide on the Gaza Strip has reached more than 50,021.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Al-Barsh revealed that among the martyrs, there were 15,613 children and 827 babies younger than one year of age. He noted that victims of the war of genocide account for seven percent of the whole Gaza population. More than 25,000 of the wounded require rehabilitation and long-term treatment. Amputation cases have reached 4,700, including 850 among children.

Dr. Al-Barsh warned of further deteriorating living conditions in the strip due to the enclave's tight siege. The local health authorities have affirmed that hospitals can no longer aid the injured due to the strip's encirclement, escalating aggression, and lack of medical supplies.
