G7 Raises Concerns Over China’s Military Drills Around Taiwan

Kuwait City: The Group of Seven nations have voiced significant concerns regarding China's recent military activities near Taiwan, highlighting the potential risks these actions pose to global security.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the foreign ministers from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US, along with the High Representative of the European Union, have collectively expressed their apprehension over China's actions towards Taiwan. In a press statement, they emphasized the increasing frequency and destabilizing nature of these activities, which they argue elevate tensions across the Taiwan Strait and threaten global peace and prosperity.

The G7 members have reiterated their vested interest in maintaining stability in the Taiwan Strait. They are collectively opposed to any unilateral actions that threaten peace and stability, including the use of force and coercion. The group emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution through constructive dialogue across the strait.
