France and Greece Advocate for Adherence to Iran-Israeli Ceasefire

Paris: French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barrot, together with his Greek counterpart, Giorgos Gerapetritis, has called for adherence to the ceasefire between Iran and Israeli occupation that took effect on June 24.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this call was made during a meeting held on Saturday in Paris. The meeting focused on enhancing strategic partnerships and civil protection mechanisms, especially in response to the frequent forest fires in Greece.

The ministers emphasized the strength of bilateral relations and expressed their intention to improve cooperation within the European Union, particularly concerning immigration and defense. They highlighted the importance of the EU's trade policy in developing fair and balanced partnerships that benefit European interests.

Regarding the EU's agreement with South America's MERCOSUR, both ministers agreed on the importance of expanding agricultural opportunities. They also discussed various other issues, including the situations in Ukraine, Gaza, Libya, and Syria, emphasizing the need for political solutions, combating terrorism, and protecting civilians.
