Berlin: Four European countries-Germany, the UK, France, and Italy-have announced their support for a plan proposed by Egypt, in collaboration with the Palestinian government and Arab nations, to rebuild Gaza.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the German Foreign Ministry released a joint statement from the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy, and the UK. The statement described the plan as a realistic approach to reconstructing Gaza, promising rapid and sustainable improvements to the dire living conditions faced by Palestinians in the region.
The plan emphasizes that recovery and rebuilding efforts should be grounded in a security and political framework acceptable to both Palestinians and Israelis, with the ultimate goal of achieving lasting peace and security. The ministers also stressed the essential involvement of the Palestinian government in the initiative.
