Manama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met today the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, as part of her visit to Bahrain to participate in the 19th session of Manama Dialogue.
The two sides reviewed the long-standing relations of friendship and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, and discussed ways to further develop them at all levels to serve the interests of the two countries.
They also exchanged views on the developments in the Gaza Strip, the international efforts required to reach a ceasefire, protect the civilian population, open safe corridors to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid, and the release of hostages and detainees, in addition to the efforts to revive the peace process in the Middle East.
