FMs of Egypt, Iran, US Envoy Tackle De-escalation

Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, and US Envoy for Middle East Steve Witkoff engaged in discussions on Tuesday concerning efforts to de-escalate military tensions between the Israeli occupation and Iran. This dialogue was facilitated through two separate phone calls, emphasizing the need for regional de-escalation and the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic and political means, as stated by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Egyptian foreign minister underscored the importance of establishing a ceasefire and returning to negotiations as the only viable path to achieving a sustainable agreement on the Iranian nuclear program. He reaffirmed Egypt's stance against military solutions for regional crises, advocating for measures to prevent the expansion of conflict in the region.
