Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said BRICS’ invitation to Egypt to join the economic bloc as of January 2024 attests to Egypt growing role in global economy and its ability to contribute to forging a more just and comprehensive international economic system.
On his Twitter account Thursday, the foreign ministry spokesman said the invitation that has been made during a summit in Johannesburg takes into consideration the interests and contributions of economies of the emerging countries of the South and their peoples.
