Taizz: Gunmen attacked the convoy of Nabil Shamsan, the governor of Taizz in southwestern Yemen, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers and injuries to two others.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the attack occurred midday on the road between Taizz city and Aden. The local authority released a statement confirming that two assailants were also killed during the incident.
The statement strongly denounced the criminal attack, asserting that it serves only the interests of the Houthi militias, who are accused of seeking to destabilize the country and undermine state institutions.
