Madrid: The 46th International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026 commenced on Saturday, welcoming visitors with a wide range of travel experiences and highlighting emerging destinations globally. Following three days dedicated to business professionals, the event has now opened to the general public, offering an extensive array of destinations and activities.
According to Kuwait News Agency, FITUR 2026 features participation from 161 countries, with 111 of them having official representation. Visitors can engage in a variety of activities organized by exhibitors, including interactive experiences and cultural performances. Mexico, this year's partner country, is adding a festive atmosphere to the exhibition halls, showcasing its tourism offerings and cultural heritage. The event also emphasizes innovation and digital transformation, featuring a new knowledge and technology pavilion with sessions by over 200 international experts.
