Kuwait city: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah met with ambassadors from the United States, India, and Pakistan to Kuwait on Thursday to discuss enhancing joint cooperation, particularly in the security sector.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Fahad engaged in separate discussions with US Ambassador Karen Sasahara, Indian Ambassador Adarsh Swaika, and Pakistani Ambassador Zafar Iqbal. The dialogues focused on mutual regional and international issues. The Ministry of Interior reported that the Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador Sasahara explored several joint security files and deliberated on enhancing bilateral cooperation in training and information exchange.
The meeting with the US Ambassador also included the recognition of Brigadier Saud Mohammed Yusuf Al-Sabah for his contributions to security cooperation between Kuwait and the United States, and his role in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
In the meeting with the Indian Ambassador, Sheikh Fahad discussed advancing bilateral ties, with a focus on security, crime prevention, and expertise exchange. Likewise, discussions with the Pakistani Ambassador centered on strengthening security cooperation and exchanging views on regional challenges and potential solutions.
All ambassadors expressed their commitment to increasing security cooperation with Kuwait, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing shared security concerns.
