A fire broke out in the eight-story Tehrani Husseiniya, where hundreds of Iranian pilgrims are present, in Karbala. Civil defense teams rushed to the scene and began fighting the fire and trying to evacuate the residents. A source in the Civil Defense told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency/NINA/: "The cause of the fire was the explosion of one of the electricity transformers due to high pressure and the processions' encroachment on it."
