Kuwait city: The promotional round for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 began on Thursday at The Avenues Mall with a press conference and the inauguration of a special booth to promote the tournament. Executive director of the tournament's organizing committee, Ali Al-Mahmoud, highlighted the goals of the promotional round, which is set to continue until Sunday, focusing on providing comprehensive information about the event and encouraging audiences to attend the matches.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait is scheduled to face Mauritania on November 25. The Arab Cup is known for fostering honorable competition among the participating teams. Al-Mahmoud emphasized Qatar's preparedness to host the championship, citing its robust infrastructure that is equipped to accommodate major sports tournaments and events.
Participating teams are eager to make a significant impact following the successful first edition held in 2021 in Doha. The organizing committee is also prioritizing the audience's experience, with tickets available for purchase through the website www.roadtoqatar.qa. A single ticket is priced at approximately KD two, with around 400,000 tickets already sold.
The total prize distribution for all participating teams will amount to USD 36 million. The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 is scheduled to take place from December 1-18, featuring 16 teams. Algeria emerged as the champion of the last edition in 2021. Should Kuwait defeat Mauritania on November 25 in Doha, it will qualify for the event and join Group C, which includes Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE.
