Extraordinary Arab Summit Begins to Discuss Rebuilding Gaza

Cairo: The Extraordinary Arab Summit kicked off on Tuesday to discuss means of supporting the Palestinian people, with participation of the Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Hamad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the summit, held in response to a request by the State of Palestine, convened in the New Administrative Capital under Egypt's chairmanship. Arab states are partaking with top and senior officials to discuss developments of the Palestinian cause, unifying the Arab nations' stance to face the current challenges in addition to the adoption of the Arab-Egyptian plan to rebuild Gaza Strip and keep the Gazans in the enclave.

The summiteers will issue a statement expressing a unified stand on Gaza's reconstruction without expelling the Palestinian population, vis a vis schemes proposed by the United States and the Israeli occupation.
