Brussels: The Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) announced on Tuesday that the annual inflation rate in the euro area rose to two percent in June 2025, compared to 1.9 percent in May.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Eurostat indicated in its report that the services sector was the largest contributor to annual inflation in June, recording 3.3 percent compared to 3.2 percent in May. This was followed by the food, alcohol, and tobacco sector, which registered 3.1 percent versus 3.2 percent in the previous month.
The report further noted that non-energy industrial goods recorded an inflation rate of 0.5 percent, compared to 0.6 percent in May. Meanwhile, the energy sector continued to post negative rates, at -2.7 percent compared to -3.6 percent in the previous month.
