Brussels: The Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) announced Wednesday that the annual inflation rate in the euro area rose to 2.2 percent in September 2025, compared with 2.0 percent in August, according to preliminary estimates.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the office explained that the services sector recorded the highest annual inflation rate in September at 3.2 percent compared with 3.1 percent in August. This was followed by the food, alcohol, and tobacco sector at 3.0 percent, which saw a slight decline from 3.2 percent in August. Meanwhile, non-energy industrial goods maintained stability, recording an inflation rate of 0.8 percent, unchanged from the previous month.
In addition, the energy sector experienced a decline of 0.4 percent in September, which marks an improvement compared with a larger decrease of 2.0 percent in August.
