Brussels: President of the European Council Antonio Costa on Wednesday welcomed the announcement of the return of 2,000 Ukrainian children who had been abducted and transferred to areas under Russian control to their homes in Ukraine. Costa shared his thoughts on X, expressing a positive reception to the news of the children's return.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Costa emphasized that despite this development, many Ukrainian children remain captive and suffer due to the ongoing conflict instigated by Russia's war against Ukraine. He reiterated the European Union's support for efforts aimed at ensuring the safe return of all abducted children. The EU continues to stand firmly with Ukraine, addressing the war's repercussions and advocating for justice for the affected children.
