Brussels: The European Union emphasized the necessity of adhering to the court ruling issued by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Milorad Dodik, the President of Republika Srpska, following his criminal conviction at the appeals stage.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the EU spokesperson Anita Hipper stated, "The ruling is final and binding and must be respected," urging all parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina to acknowledge the independence and impartiality of the court and fully comply with its decisions.
The federal prosecution in Bosnia had issued an arrest order last March for Dodik and his aides as part of an investigation into alleged violations of the constitutional order and participation in activities aimed at undermining Bosnia and Herzegovina's constitutional system. The arrest orders were a response to actions by the Republika Srpska parliament to enact laws intended to remove the authority of Bosnian courts, prosecutors, and federal police within the entity's territory.
