EU and Chile Urge Complete End to Gaza Conflict

Brussels: The European Union and Chile have jointly urged all parties involved in the Gaza conflict to continue negotiations concerning the subsequent phases of the Comprehensive Plan aimed at ending the conflict. They emphasized the importance of fully committing to the plan's implementation and avoiding any actions that could undermine the agreement.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this appeal was made in a joint statement following the EU-Chile Joint Council and Joint Trade Council meeting on Thursday. Both entities highlighted the critical need to ensure the safe, unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and provide immediate relief to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the reconstruction and recovery efforts in the region.

The EU and Chile condemned the recent escalation of violence in the West Bank and reiterated their unwavering support for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution. They emphasized the importance of respecting international law, protecting human rights, and adhering fully to the principles outlined in the UN Charter.

Both parties expressed approval of the agreement reached on the first phase of the Comprehensive Plan to end the Gaza conflict. They praised the diplomatic efforts led by the United States, with support from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Trkiye, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit held on October 13, 2025.
