Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, discussed "the course of the worrying phase of the conflict between Israel and Palestine and the steps that would prevent the expansion of the scope of tension."
The Head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency stated in a statement that the two leaders also discussed the initiatives that could be taken to meet the humanitarian needs in the region.
During the call, President Erdogan explained that targeting civilian residential communities is “worrying” and that Turkey does not welcome such actions.
Erdogan stressed in his phone call that Turkey will continue to do its utmost to establish calm in the region.
