Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit Declares Unwavering Support for Qatar Amid Israeli Aggression

Doha: Member nations of the Emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened in Doha have declared their unwavering support for Qatar's security, stability, and sovereignty. The summit was organized in response to the Israeli occupation's attack on Qatar.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the final communique of the summit emphasized absolute support for Qatar and the safety of its citizens. The statement highlighted adherence to the principles of the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the United Nations Charter, particularly Article 2, Paragraph (4), which prohibits the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.

The communique recalled relevant resolutions from the OIC and the Arab League, rejecting attacks on member states and reaffirming Arab-Islamic solidarity in the face of external threats. It acknowledged the commitment to the sovereignty, independence, and security of all member states, underscoring the collective duty to respond to any aggression.

Members expressed their rejection of any threats to member countries and condemned attacks targeting them. They also referenced the emergency United Nations Security Council meeting on September 11, 2025, which condemned the Israeli occupation attack as a violation of international peace and security.

The statement criticized the lack of international accountability, suggesting it emboldens Israeli violations and undermines international law. It emphasized the need for global adherence to justice and peace, acknowledging the direct threat to regional and international security.

The summit members affirmed their support for Qatar in light of the aggression, branding it a violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional peace. They condemned the Israeli attack on Doha on September 9, 2025, which targeted residential areas and diplomatic sites, labeling it a dangerous escalation.

The communique concluded with a call for solidarity with Qatar, condemning the aggression and supporting Qatar's measures to protect its security and sovereignty. It also recognized Qatar's role as a mediator in regional conflicts and commended its commitment to international law and diplomatic efforts.
