Brasilia, The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Brasilia, the Government of São Paulo, and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce organised a musical evening to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Brazil.
The event was attended by Bader Abbas Al Helaibi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federative Republic of Brazil, ambassadors accredited to the Federative Republic of Brazil, senior officials from the São Paulo government, the CEO of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, board members, members of the federal congress, Brazilian businessmen, and friends of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event featured a performance by the musical band of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
Head of the International Relations Office of the São Paulo government, Samo Toussati, praised the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federative Republic of Brazil, highlighting the growth of bilateral trade in recent years, which reflects the
depth of relations. He noted Bahrain’s atmosphere of coexistence and openness, wishing the Kingdom continued prosperity and stability.
Al Helaibi emphasised the significance of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Brazil on June 26, 1974. This milestone coincides with the Kingdom’s celebrations of the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s ascension to the throne.
The ambassador said that the Bahraini-Brazilian relationship is developing based on solid foundations of mutual respect and shared interests, underlining Bahrain’s commitment to openness and communication with peoples and civilisations. He also highlighted the important role of cultural exchange in building bridges of artistic and civilisational communication between the two peoples.
Osmar Chohfi, President of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce affirmed the strength of the commercial ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federative Republic of Brazil, noting the dev
elopment in trade exchange in recent years. He commended the progress of Bahraini-Brazilian relations and their connection with the Arab world.
