Kuwait City: Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Adel Al-Zamel confirmed Wednesday that the ministry will spare no effort in overcoming all obstacles and challenges in order to work properly on its projects and finish them.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this statement followed a meeting between Dr. Al-Zamel and several assistant undersecretaries across the ministry's sectors. The meeting aimed to review the current status of each sector, identify the challenges they face, and discuss their development vision. The discussion also covered the anticipated status of the electrical system for the upcoming summer, along with the operational procedures needed to address any obstacles that might arise in the summer of 2025.
Dr. Al-Zamel urged all sectors to promptly address delays or issues they encounter. He emphasized the importance of submitting weekly reports from all sectors to prevent any disruptions in the delivery of electricity and water services, ensuring that customers receive the highest quality of service.
The meeting also included presentations on the status of power generation units, water desalination units, main transformer stations, and high-voltage overhead lines. New mechanisms launched within the sector to ensure the safety of the electricity network were discussed. Additionally, maintenance programs for secondary transformer stations and integrated distribution units, conducted annually from October to May, were reviewed.
