Eighth Kuwaiti Relief Plane Takes Off to Deliver Aid to Gaza

Kuwait City: The eighth relief plane departed on Sunday morning as part of the second Kuwaiti airlift, carrying ten tons of aid destined for the Gaza Strip. This mission is an integral part of the humanitarian initiative "Kuwait by Your Side," which aims to support Palestinians in need by transporting essential food supplies to El-Arish Airport in Egypt, from where the aid will be forwarded to Gaza.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, these relief efforts are also part of the "Fazza for Gaza" campaign. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), in collaboration with various Kuwaiti charitable organizations and coordinated with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, has been orchestrating these flights. The Kuwaiti Air Force is playing a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of aid.

Chairman of the KRCS, Khaled Al-Mughamis, highlighted the significance of this eighth flight in a statement to KUNA before takeoff. He emphasized that the mission reflects Kuwait's longstanding commitment to charitable and humanitarian efforts, following the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

To date, the second Kuwaiti airlift, which commenced on August 10, has successfully delivered a total of 110 tons of basic food supplies to the Palestinian territories. This effort is conducted in partnership with the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company, ensuring that essential provisions reach those in need.
