Kuwait city: Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi on Saturday emphasized the importance of leveraging recent developments in Gaza to initiate a serious political process aimed at establishing an independent Palestinian state. The remarks were part of a telephone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during the call, the presidential spokesperson revealed that both leaders discussed the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh summit and Egypt's efforts to implement the initial phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the conflict in Gaza. President Al-Sisi reiterated Egypt's willingness to host an international conference focused on the reconstruction of Gaza and expressed eagerness to collaborate with Malaysia on this initiative.
