Egyptian President Calls for Inclusive Political Settlement in Libya

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi reiterated his country's call for unifying efforts to reach an inclusive political settlement to the Libyan crisis, including presidential and parliamentary elections. The Egyptian president made the remarks while welcoming visiting Libyan parliament speaker Aguila Saleh, Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Ambassador Mohammad Al-Shennawi said in a press statement.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Sisi restated Cairo's stance of supporting Libya and its national institutions. He emphasized the necessity for all foreign forces to withdraw from Libya. This withdrawal, Al-Sisi maintained, would contribute to promoting Libya's national security and empower its institutions to ensure stability across the country.

The Libyan parliament speaker expressed appreciation for Egypt's role in supporting Libya's national unity and institutions, considering it a key pillar in restoring security and stability in the country.
