Cairo: Egyptian Foreign and Immigration Minister Dr. Bader Abdulaty emphasized the importance of an inclusive political process in Syria that encompasses all segments of the population.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this statement was made during a meeting between Minister Abdulaty and Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein. The two officials exchanged views on key regional issues, highlighting the necessity for Syria to uphold sovereignty, unity, and safety while combating terrorism and extremism to ensure regional stability.
Minister Abdulaty also outlined preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit in Cairo on March 4, which will address the situation in Gaza. He underscored Egypt’s efforts to maintain the ceasefire agreement and advance towards a permanent political resolution to the Palestinian issue.
Additionally, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated Egypt’s commitment to Iraq’s security and stability. He praised the significant progress in Egyptian-Iraqi relations over recent years, reflecting a strengthened bilateral partnership.
