Egypt Warns of Potential Global Repercussions Due to Israeli Occupation Practices

Cairo: Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatti cautioned on Sunday that any practices by the Israeli occupation forces in the region herald a wave of widespread anger that could have undesirable consequences on international peace and security.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the warning was issued following Abdelatti's meeting with a delegation from US Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP), led by May Cannon. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry emphasized the country's condemnation of Israeli attacks on Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the targeting of civilian facilities.

Abdelatti reiterated Egypt's rejection of the Israeli occupation's hostile policies, which include the use of military force and disregard for international law. He noted that these practices are aimed at fueling hostility in the Middle East and threaten the peaceful coexistence in the region.

The statement further warned that the ongoing inability to halt Israeli violations and provocations could lead to widespread anger, posing significant threats to international peace and security.

In response, the US delegation expressed their rejection of Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and the displacement of Palestinians from their territories. They praised the Arab plan for the early recovery and rebuilding of Gaza and acknowledged Egypt's efforts to establish a ceasefire and promote peace, security, and stability in the region.
