Egypt Vows Unremitting Endeavor to Attain Regional Peace

CAIRO: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stated on Monday that Egypt remains committed to pursuing peace, security, and stability in the Middle East. The announcement was made during the Egyptian-US Economic Forum held in Cairo, an event supported by Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi and attended by more than 80 CEOs from leading American companies.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement highlighting the regional challenges Egypt faces. These challenges include efforts to resume the Gaza ceasefire, provide humanitarian aid to Gaza, and seek a permanent resolution to the Palestinian issue.

The minister acknowledged the recent de-escalation in the Red Sea and emphasized that the reopening of navigation in the Red Sea and the Suez Canal would positively affect the global economy.

He also praised the strategic partnership between Cairo and Washington, noting that bilateral economic and trade relations are central to their joint strategic initiatives. The foreign minister expressed hope that the Egyptian-US Economic Forum would act as a catalyst for future activities and forums, further enhancing economic and investment cooperation between Egypt and the United States.
