Egypt urges restraint in Sudan

Egypt has expressed its deep concern about the developments unfolding in Sudan, amid clashes between the army and the paramilitary forces.

“Egypt calls on all Sudanese parties to exercise maximum restraint in order to protect the lives and capabilities of the Sudanese people, and uphold the higher interests of the country”, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

EgyptAir announced the temporary suspension of its flights to and from Khartoum International Airport, for a period of 72 hours, due to the security situation.
