According to Kuwait News Agency, Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamad El-Shennawy highlighted that the leaders' remarks were made during King Abdullah's visit to Egypt. The two leaders reiterated their countries' firm stance against the displacement of the Palestinian people and condemned violations and arbitrary practices against them.
The leaders stressed that establishing an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is essential for achieving long-term peace and stability in the region.
