Egypt Invites US President for Historic Gaza Deal Signing Ceremony

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi has extended an invitation to US President Donald Trump to visit Egypt for the signing ceremony of a landmark deal aimed at ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip. This invitation was made during a phone call between the two leaders, as detailed by Egypt's Presidential Spokesman, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador El-Shennawy conveyed that President Trump accepted the invitation with enthusiasm, expressing his admiration for Egypt. The US President's visit is seen as a testament to the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and Trump's pivotal role in the ceasefire negotiations.

President Al-Sisi took the opportunity to commend President Trump for his instrumental efforts in brokering the ceasefire in Gaza. He highlighted the importance of Trump's commitment to peace in the region and suggested that the US President's achievements in this regard merit recognition with a Nobel Peace Prize.

Ambassador El-Shennawy also noted the global spotlight on Egypt, particularly on the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations, which were crucial in reaching the ceasefire agreement. President Al-Sisi emphasized the significance of implementing the ceasefire in all its phases, with President Trump's continued support deemed essential for its success.
