Cairo: Egypt on Tuesday urged for de-escalation, calm, and dialogue in Syria, expressing its concern over the clashes and rapid developments in northern Syria, particularly in Aleppo. In a press statement, the ministry highlighted the involvement of violence and acts of intimidation against civilians, which could severely impact Syria's security and stability.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry emphasized the necessity of reducing tensions, halting violence, ensuring peace, protecting civilians, and maintaining Syria's security and territorial integrity. The ministry asserted that a sustainable resolution to the Syrian crisis depends on an inclusive political process. This process should be founded on dialogue and respect for the interests of all Syrian segments as part of a national state and its institutions.
