Egypt and UN Call for Urgent Humanitarian Aid for Gaza.

Cairo: Egypt and the United Nations have jointly called upon countries and organizations participating in the Conference to Enhance the Humanitarian Response to Gaza to mobilize necessary resources for humanitarian and relief aid for the region. The conference, held under the patronage of Egypt’s President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi, emphasized the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatti, speaking alongside Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina Mohammad, highlighted the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, which he attributed to Israeli occupation crimes and violations of international laws. Abdelatti pointed to the growing epidemics, shortages of medical supplies, and the challenges in delivering humanitarian aid due to Israeli occupation measures. He insisted on the immediate cessation of aggression in Gaza and the urgent need for humanitarian aid access.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister underscored that resolving the Pa
lestinian issue is crucial for regional stability. He advocated for the recognition of Palestinian statehood and its full membership in the United Nations as part of a comprehensive settlement. Deputy Secretary-General Mohammad echoed these sentiments, noting the suffering of Gazans, including those killed and displaced. She criticized the attacks on hospitals, homes, and schools, emphasizing that such actions violate international humanitarian law. Mohammad called for a ceasefire, humanitarian aid access, and the rebuilding of infrastructure in Gaza.
