Egypt and Kuwait Forge Partnership to Strengthen Diplomatic and Security Ties

Kuwait city: Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of regional security and diplomatic capabilities.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute, Ambassador Nasser Al-Subeih, stated that the MoU includes a framework for joint cooperation between the two sides, focusing on training, research, and knowledge exchange. The agreement emphasizes cooperation on key issues such as mediation, conflict resolution, and the roles of women in peace and security. Al-Subeih highlighted that the agreement aligns with efforts to enhance security and stability in the Arab region by exchanging expertise and knowledge to serve the common interests of both countries.

He added that the partnership with the Cairo Center, affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will contribute to capacity building in peace, sustainable development, and conflict resolution. This initiative reflects Kuwait's vision to develop advanced diplomatic capabilities that address global issues.

Al-Subeih further noted that this collaboration provides a framework for cooperation focused on promoting peaceful dispute resolutions and integrating women's roles in peacebuilding through awareness-raising and training programs.

The signing ceremony, held at the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding, was attended by Kuwait Ambassador to Egypt, Ghanem Al-Ghanim, and the Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the Arab League, Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi.
