The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, accompanied by his Jordanian counterpart, Mazen Al-Faraya, visited the Public Security Directorate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement: “During the visit to the Directorate, in the presence of the Director of Public Security, Major General Obaidullah Al-Maaytah, they discussed strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Interior and this important directorate, and exchanging experiences and information.”
The visit included a tour of the directorate’s departments, and was briefed on the work mechanism in combating narcotics and psychotropic substances, the intelligence effort, as well as the work of the police and civil defense.
The Jordanian Minister of Interior expressed his thanks for Iraq’s stances with Jordan, pointing out that Iraq is in the first place in the field of combating terrorism, and that it defended all countries of the world in chasing ISIS terrorist gangs, stressing that Iraq and Jordan are one country.
