The Ministry of Oil announced, today, Tuesday, the completion of drilling and reclamation of three oil wells in al-Zubair and West Qurna fields.
The company stated in a statement, that “the technical and engineering personnel in the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling of the oil well al-Zubair / 572/ at a depth of 3561 meters within the contract concluded with the Italian company ENI to drill 37 oil wells in the al-Zubair oil field in Basra in cooperation with the Schlumberger company to provide oil services.”
It pointed out that “the company has completed the reclamation of al-Zubair oil well / 231/, and the oil well West Qurna / 227/ in the West Qurna / 1/ field for the benefit of Exxon Mobil Company.”
The statement continued, “The Company owns 43 drilling and reclamation rigs, including 30 modern rigs, with a capacity of (500-3000) horsepower. Its work is distributed in the Iraqi oil fields from north to south.”
